Updated over 4 months ago

At TreeClimb, we operate rain or shine, letting you enjoy the adventure in all seasons! Your safety is our priority, and we have strict procedures for various weather conditions.

Operating Conditions:

  • Rain & Light Wind: We're open during rain and light wind. Please dress appropriately for the weather with waterproof layers if needed.

  • Extreme Weather: In the event of extreme weather, like lightning, thunderstorms, or exceptionally high winds, we might need to temporarily close the park or individual courses for safety.

    • Prior to Your Session: If your session is affected by a forecast of extreme weather, we'll aim to contact you via email and/or SMS as soon as possible, often the night before.

    • During Your Session: If extreme weather develops while you're climbing, our crew will follow established safety procedures to safely remove everyone from the courses.

  • Rescheduling Due to Weather: If TreeClimb cancels your session due to unsafe weather conditions, you'll be offered the option to reschedule your climb to another available time slot.

  • No Notification? Your Climb is On! If you don't hear from us, please assume your climb is going ahead as planned.

Specific to Kuitpo Forest - Total Fire Ban Days:

  • Total Fire Ban Closures: TreeClimb Kuitpo Forest is in a forest and will be closed to all visitors on days of a declared Total Fire Ban in the Mount Lofty Ranges. This is in line with ForestrySA's fire management requirements.

  • Checking Fire Bans: Fire Danger Ratings and Total Fire Bans are declared by the Country Fire Service (CFS) after 4 pm the day before. You can check the CFS website or call 1800 362 361.

  • Notification for Kuitpo Bookings: If you have a booking at Kuitpo Forest on a Total Fire Ban day, TreeClimb will try to contact you by email the night before your session. Being aware of a potential closure due to a Total Fire Ban is also your responsibility.
