Family Experience

Updated this week

Exciting news for adventurous families! Our highly requested Family Experience ticket allows adults and their younger climbers to experience the thrill of the Grand Course together in the trees. This experience is specifically designed for children who are just under the solo height requirement for the Grand Course, giving them a fantastic opportunity to challenge themselves with a confident adult by their side.

What is the Family Experience Ticket?

The Family Experience enables children who are 125cm - 135cm tall to give our Grand Course a go! This is a unique opportunity for smaller climbers to tackle our main course with the direct assistance and encouragement of an accompanied adult.

  • Cost Information: For current costs and to view pricing, please check our booking platform when selecting your preferred session.

  • Important Note: This is not a discounted ticket. The Family Experience simply provides a child between 125cm - 135cm the opportunity to climb the Grand Course with an accompanied adult, reflecting the combined cost of general and student admissions.

How Long Will It Take?

Your Family Experience adventure will last 2 hours, which includes your essential safety briefing, harnessing, and practice course. Please aim to be checking in at least 20 minutes prior to your booked time, as your booked time is your start time.

Where is it Available?

The Family Experience is available at all three TreeClimb locations: Adelaide (CBD), Kuitpo Forest, and Salisbury.

Special Requirements:

To ensure a safe and enjoyable climb for everyone, please note the following requirements:

  • Child's Height: Children must be a minimum height of 125cm.

  • Adult Accompaniment: Children must be accompanied in the trees by a confident climber who is 18 years or older.

  • Prior Experience Recommended: We recommend that the children have previously climbed on the Kids Course and are confident with tree ropes activities. If not, that's okay, but being shorter can sometimes slow your climb down. You might consider scheduling your climb when it's less busy to avoid congestion and allow for a more relaxed pace.

Booking for Your Family (Example):

Let's say you're bringing your family of five: two children are between 125cm-135cm, one child is over 135cm, and there are two accompanying adults.

  • As the two children between 125cm-135cm each need to be accompanied by an adult, you would book:

    • 2 x Family Experience Admissions (each covering one adult and one child between 125cm-135cm).

    • 1 x Grand Course, Student Admission (for the child over 135cm).

Please make sure there is enough availability for all tickets in the session you wish to book, and ensure you book them for the same time. This ensures you’ll all be on the Grand Course together! Don’t forget to add on gloves or BYO from home, and always double-check your booking confirmation!
